Phonics Phase 2 Focus Pack

Reading Stars Phonics Phase 2 Focus Pack is the final pack in the first stage of the programme. It contains 9 books. It contains both fiction and non-fiction titles, on a range of topics and text types. These books corresponds to Phase 2 of the Letters and Sounds programme, which is the UK goverment's benchmark for learning English lanuage. The words are all decodable which means they are made up of phonics that children can put together to decode the word.  The books in this pack all provide a focus on the various different phonemes and high frequency words introduced in this first level of the programme (Phase 2 of Letters and Sounds). However, unlike the Build Pack, they do not work in a specific order in introducing the letters and sounds. They are, therefore, best used for reinforcement once children have been introduced to all the letters and sounds.
